Beyond Words Dance Center is proud to offer its very own recreational performance group, GO BEYOND! After over fifteen years of excellence in dance education, Owner and Artistic Director Kate Jablonski is thrilled to provide students with an opportunity to expand their skill set at an accelerated rate and become accustomed to performing and competing.

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE GROUP:

​

The goal of Go Beyond Performance Group is to nurture each dancer's talent and prepare them for a future in dance, whether it be recreational or professional. Dancers will learn how to be ready for the stage, apply technique to their performance, and be a member of a dance team. With the main focuses being jazz, ballet, and technique, dancers will also have the opportunity to train in additional styles, including (but not limited to) hip hop, lyrical, tap, and dance acrobatics.

Go Beyond is divided into three tiers: Starlets, All Stars, and Super Stars. Each group learns two challenging dances to perform during the season, one during the fall/winter and one during the spring. Performances include Beyond Words Dance Center 's Fall Fest in October, the Holiday Show in December, Breakthrough Student Choreography Showcase in April, and the Recital in June. Additional mandatory performances will be announced at a later date. Dancers will also compete at two competitions toward the end of the season.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

 

While we are excited to compete, we are much more than just a competitive team! Go Beyond is a program where dancers discover their own unique artistry and appreciation for the performing arts. Go Beyond members will have the opportunity to work with guest choreographers through occasional master classes and train with professional dancers in their weekly classes. The group does not limit itself to the competition circuit and the rules that go along with it; Go Beyond pushes boundaries and challenge dancers to think outside the box.

WHO:  Starlets, Ages 6 - 7 
         All Stars, Ages 8 - 10

         Super Stars, Ages 11 - 16

 

These suggestions are merely a guideline for Go Beyond Performance Group. For instance, if there is a 7 year-old that is better suited for the All Stars or a 9 year-old that would best fit in with the Super Stars, the dancers will be placed accordingly.  Dancers ages 6 - 16 are welcome to audition for Go Beyond.  Once the dancer is accepted into the program, he or she will be properly placed in Starlets, All Stars, or Super Stars.

CLASS SCHEDULE:

All Classes take place at Beyond Words Dance Center: 7933 39th Street, Lyons IL.  Ballet classes for our Starlets, All Stars, and Super Stars are instructed by Karin Krafcisin.  All other classes are instructed by Megan Rhodes.

STARLETS

Tuesdays:  Technique and Rehearsal from 4:00 - 5:15 PM

Thursdays:  Ballet and Jazz from 4:00 - 5:30 PM

ALL STARS

Tuesdays:  Technique and Jazz from 5:15 - 7:00 PM

Thursdays:  Ballet and Rehearsal from 4:45 - 6:30 PM

SUPER STARS

Tuesdays:  Technique and Jazz from 7:00 - 8:45 PM

Thursdays:  Ballet and Rehearsal from 6:30 - 8:15 PM

TUITION:

The monthly tuition for GO BEYOND Performance Group will span for a total of nine months (September - May) as follows:

Starlets:  $190 per month
All Stars:  $230 per month
Super Stars: $230 per month

This tuition covers the listed classes under Performance Group Class Schedule. Please note that additional charges will be incurred for the following: Costumes, Optional Additional Classes, Competition Fees, Warm-Up Jackets, Make-Up Kits, etc.
